Today was marginal at best. I could have paddled a very short downwind leg to the next town to gain some ground, but, given the forecast for the week, it’s going to be a while before I have the weather I need to make any real progress.
So, I’ve decided to stay put in an excellent campsite rather than sleep on a windy slipway for an indefinite stretch in exchange for 8km of progress.
Took a lovely day trip to Lahinch, where conditions around the headland confirmed that I made the right choice.
